Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a man at State Route 119 and Wayne Ave in Indiana County, PA on October 4th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 4:34 a.m. According to investigators, a dump truck lost control for unknown reasons before traveling through a guardrail and into an embankment. The truck went airborne as a result before hitting a concrete barrier upon landing. The driver, identified as 57-year-old Thomas Mears, was ejected from the vehicle and taken to an area hospital with injuries he later died from. Additional information was not available.
