What Happened

State Police identified the three people killed in a collision at I-78 in Berks County, PA on December 15th, 2021. They say the incident occurred around 10:20 p.m following a previous crash nearby. Traffic was being rerouted from the area when a commercial truck operated by a 64-year-old male reportedly did not slow down in time and collided with the rear of a van. This created a chain reaction crash that involved three other vehicles. 24-year-old 24-year-old Yalibet Lopez-Perez and 54-year-old Jonny Young both died. 21-year-old Joshua Del Torro also suffered fatal injuries in the crash.
