Cherokee County Police are investigating a crash that killed one person involved at I-85 in Cherokee County, SC on July 10th, 2024. Officials say the incident happened around 6:56 p.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer is said to have collided with a guardrail in a northbound construction zone. There, reports say the vehicle traveled over a barrier and collided with both a Nissan Rogue and southbound tractor-trailer. Officials say the driver of the Nissan, identified as 73-year-old Donald Charles Harwood, was fatally injured in the collision. Both other drivers were hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.
