What Happened

South Carolina Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a driver at Hwy 11 near Oak Grove Rd in Greenville County, SC on August 13th, 2021. Police say a semi-truck headed south on Oak Grove was attempting a u-turn when it was struck on the right side by an SUV. The driver of the SUV was airlifted to an area hospital with injuries they later died from. A passenger was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. The uninjured truck driver was charged with Failure to Yield Right of Way.
