South Carolina Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a driver at I-77 Richland County, SC on July 20th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 6:30 a.m. A Ford Mustang reportedly entered the interstate when it spun out and came to a sideways stop. An approaching 18-wheeler crashed into the Mustang forcing it into a guardrail. The truck also struck an SUV in the process which was forced into the Mustang, causing the Mustang driver to suffer serious injuries. The driver later died after being taken to an area hospital. The other drivers were not injured. Additional information was not available.
