What Happened

South Carolina Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at Hwy 101 in Greer, SC on December 28th, 2021. Officials are saying it happened around 6:30 a.m. near Greenpond Rd. A tractor-trailer headed southbound on Hwy 101 collided with the rear of a southbound moped under unclear circumstances. The 33-year-old Woodruff moped operator died at the scene. Additional information was not immediately available.
