South Carolina Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at Hwy 52 near Scranton, SC on September 6th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 7:35 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet pickup truck headed southbound is said to have crossed a median before colliding with a northbound tractor-trailer. The driver of the pickup truck, 41-year-old Emanuel Sentel Burgess, suffered fatal injuries. The tractor-trailer driver was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.
