State Police are investigating a crash that killed a driver at Haigler St in Abbevile, SC on June 2nd, 2023. Police say the incident occurred around 10:55 a.m. According to investigators, a Kia Soul headed eastbound struck the rear of a parked dump truck retrieving debris from an area. Police were not able to provide a possible cause for the collision. The driver of the Kia, identified as 81-year-old Georgia Hall Ashley, was killed in the crash. The other driver was taken to an area hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries. Additional details were not available.
