What Happened

Berkeley County Police are investigating a crash that killed a person at Hwy 52 near Colonel Manham Dr in Berkeley County, SC on July 29th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 1:15 p.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer headed westbound when it overturned for unknown reasons. Cargo from the truck struck a second tractor-trailer headed eastbound before an SUV collided with the second tractor-trailer. The driver of the second truck, identified as 25-year-old Marcus McFadden, suffered fatal injuries. The driver and passenger of the SUV as well as the other truck driver and a passenger in the second truck were all hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.
