What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed one person at I-26 in I-385 in Laurens County, SC on July 31st, 2024. Police say the incident happened when a vehicle towing a camper allegedly suffered a tire blowout that caused the vehicle to pull to the side of the road. While there, reports say the vehicle was side-swiped by a tractor-trailer, causing it to lose control and travel down an embankment and catch fire.
