South Carolina Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a man at SC 261 at Mt Vernon Rd in Williamsburg County, SC on August 26th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 2:35 o.m. A Subaru operated by 26-year-old Reginald Champagne was headed southbound on Mt Vernon Rd when it was struck by a tractor-trailer headed eastbound on Manning Hwy. The Subaru was struck on the passenger side and Champagne suffered fatal injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
