South Carolina Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a driver at I-85 in Cherokee County, SC on April 27th, 2023. Police say the incident happened following a previous crash after 4:30 p.m. As traffic began to slow due to the crash, a tractor=trailer is said to have collided with a box truck stopped in traffic. The driver of the box truck, identified as 25-year-old Timothy Antonio McNeil, died at the scene. A passenger in the vehicle was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
