South Dakota Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed one person at 241st St and 406th Ave near Letcher, SD on May 31st, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 9 p.m. According to investigators, a Hyundai Sonata headed westbound on 241st St allegedly crossed a center line before colliding with an eastbound semi-truck. The driver of the Hyundai, 46-year-old Jason Mather Price, died at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck, 19-year-old Carson Fahey, was hospitalized with suspected non-life-threatening injuries.
