What Happened

Tennessee Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed two people at  I-40 in Dickson County, TN on September 18th, 2022. Police say the incident happened round 9:30 p.m. Investigators say a tractor-trailer was stopped in a travel lane due to  traffic backup caused by crash when it was struck in the rear by a Kia Soul. The driver of the Kia, 23-year-old Bayleigh Grimes and a passenger, 19-year-old Jordyn Schrock, both suffered fatal injuries in the crash. A 2-month-old child and a 20-year-old passenger were both injured, however, the nature of their injuries was not revealed. Additional details were not available.
