Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a person at I-24 in Coffee County, TN on October 1st, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 7 p.m. According to investigators, a pair of motorcycles were traveling beside each other as they attempted passing a westbound tractor-trailer. While attempting to pass, the motorcycles collided and one, operated by 20-year-old Chas Everett, struck the truck. The other, operated by 21-year-old David Solar, veered into a median. The truck is said to have not stopped and left the scene. Everett suffered fatal injuries in the accident. Solar's condition was not stated. Additional information was not available.
