Tennessee Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed one person involved at I-75 in Campbell County, TN on July 13th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 8:30 p.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer is said to be approaching traffic that was slowing ahead. In an attempt to avoid a collision, the truck is said to have left the road and collided with a guardrail. Investigators say it then re-entered the road and struck a stopped Honda before traveling into an embankment. The driver of the truck, 45-year-old David Johnson, suffered fatal injuries. The occupants of the Honda were not injured. Additional information was not available.
