What Happened

Tennessee Highway Patrol officials have information on a crash that injured a person at Hwy 146 in Smithville, TN on February 7th, 2022. Police say the incident happened when a southbound Chevrolet flatbed truck crossed a center line into oncoming traffic and collided with a GMC Yukon operated by 27-year-old Kayla Presley head-on. Presley was hospitalized for treatment of undisclosed injuries. The other driver was not injured and reports indicate a failure to exercise due care charge and crossing center line charge was issued.
