Tennessee Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed two people at I-75 in Anderson County, TN on August 14th, 2024. Authorities say the incident happened around 1:50 a.m. According to police, a semi-truck allegedly failed to control its speed prior to colliding with the rear of a vehicle ahead. Reports say the impact pushed the stopped vehicle into two others vehicles. Two people involved, identified as 35-year-old Pedro Daniel Avina Sanchez and 65-year-old Jose Manuel Avina, were fatally injured. Seven others had various injuries while reports say charges are pending against semi-truck operator, 68-year-old Dennis Jacobsen. Additional information was not available.
