What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a person at FM 563 near Liberty, TX on February 23rd, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 5:25 a.m. According to investigators, a Mitsubishi Outlander operated by 32-year-old Aaron Bernard Lowe was headed northbound when it allegedly veered into a southbound lane for unclear reasons. It then collided with a GMC Sierra operated by 57-year-old Thomas Dingler. The impact pushed the Outlander into a west ditch and was struck by a Ford F-350 that veered into the ditch. The collision left Lowe with fatal injuries at the scene. Dingler and the other driver, 52-year-old Brian Fenton, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Additional details were not available.
