What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a man at I-10 near Hackberry in San Antonio, TX on October 16th, 2022. Police are saying it happened around 7:30 a.m. According to investigators, a GMC Yukon believed to have been traveling in an unsafe manner lost control while traveling eastbound on I-10. The vehicle overturned and an occupant, identified as 20-year-old Aaron Cantu, was ejected onto the roadway. He was struck by an approaching Toyota Camry shortly after, suffering fatal injuries at the scene. A passenger in the vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was hospitalized for treatment. The other driver remained at the scene for police questioning. Their condition was not revealed.
