Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at County Rd in 4212 in Newton County, TX on June 9th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 7:34 p.m. According to investigators, a GMC Canyon operated by 27-year-old Aaron Pope was headed westbound on County Rd 4212, approaching a curve in the roadway. Ot then veered into a group of trees before coming to rest in the yard of a private residence. The crash left Pope with injuries believed to be serious in nature before being transported to an area hospital for treatment. Additional information was not immediately available.
