What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured three people at Texas Blvd in Alice, TX on May 6th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 5:47 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado C1500 was southbound before allegedly failing to control its speed before colliding with a southbound Toyota Camry turning into a private drive. The diver of the Toyota, identified as 44-year-old Abelardo Perez Jr., was seriously injured. Authorities say the driver of the Chevrolet, who was not publicly identified, was also seriously injured, as was an 18-year-old passenger. A Failure to Control Speed charge was recommended and/or issued against the driver of the Chevrolet.
