What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that injured a motorcyclist at Amarillo Blvd and Bonham St in Amarillo, TX on July 27th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 4:04 p.m. A tractor-trailer operated by a 56-year-old Amarillo man was headed westbound on Amarillo Blvd when it failed to yield during a left turn. A Harley-Davidson operated by 20-year-old Abram Ty Reece was approaching eastbound when it collided with the truck. Reece suffered serious injuries and was hospitalized. The Amarillo man was not injured and was cited for Failure to Yield.
