What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a man at US Hwy 79 in Panola County, TX on October 25th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 10:27 a.m. A Dodge pickup truck operated by 78-year-old Jimmy Brister was towing a semi-trailer when it reportedly turned into the path of a Subaru operated by 37-year-old Adam Pacetti. The Subaru took evasive action and veered into the path of tractor-trailer in opposite direction traffic. It then collided with a tractor-trailer in the lane that attempted to also take evasive action but was unable to avoid the collision. Pacetti suffered fatal injuries at the scene. The other two drivers were not injured.
