Authorities are investigating a crash that may have injured two people at I-35 in Bellmead, TX on July 29th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 5:21 p.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Charger headed northbound is alleged to have failed to control its speed prior to colliding with the rear of a Mitsubishi Eclipse stopped in traffic. The impact it said to have caused the Mitsubishi to crash into a Ford Mustang ahead. Reports say the drivers of the Mitsubishi and Ford, identified as 25-year-old Adam Smith and 49-year-old Douglas Smith, sustained possible, unconfirmed injuries. The driver of the Dodge was allegedly charged with Intoxication Assault. Additional information was not immediately available.
