What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at State Hwy 71 in Travis County, TX on June 22nd, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 9:56 p.m. A Hyundai Elantra operated by 34-year-old Adrian Jaimes Vargas reportedly veered from its lane and collided with a Chrysler Town & Country operated by 40-year-old Patricia Giron. After the collision, the Elantra veered from the road into a gas station pump before overturning. Vargas suffered serious injuries and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated. Giron and her passengers were not injured.
