What Happened

Arlington Police are investigating a crash that killed a driver at Calendar Rd in Arlington, TX on August 20th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 1:12 a.m. According to investigators, a Toyota Tacoma is alleged to have been traveling at a high rate of speed as it rounded a curve in the roadway. As it did so, officials say the vehicle veered from the road and struck a fire hydrant. This is believed to have caused the vehicle to overturn several times before it landed in a nearby ditch. The driver, 28-year-old Afshin Mirhosseini, suffered fatal injuries at the scene. Additional information was not available.
