What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at TX 144 in Somervell County, TX on February 5th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:51 p.m. Investigators say a Jeep Liberty operated by a 37-year-old Glen Rose man was headed southbound on TX 144 as a GMC Sierra operated by 34-year-old Christopher Prater was headed northbound. Police say as both vehicles approached a curve in the road, the Jeep reportedly crossed a center line and collided with the Sierra. A passenger in the Sierra, identified as 30-year-old Aimee Prater, suffered fatal injuries. Christopher Prater suffered minor injuries as did his 4-year-old daughter. The Glen Rose man suffered minor injuries and charged with Intoxication Manslaughter.
