What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a collision that injured two people at Loop 1604 in San Antonio, TX on July 18th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 5:50 a.m. A motorcycle operated by 25-year-old Akshvir Singh Brar was stopped at a red light while a Ford Focus operated by 26-year-old James Allen Jr approached. Police say that Focus had not made an attempt to slow down for the red light prior to it having turned green. The motorcycle was beginning to take the light when it was struck by the Focus. Brar and his passenger, 21-year-old Leyla Gonzalez were ejected from the vehicle and suffered serious injuries. Allen, who was not injured, was reported by responding officers as smelling of alcohol and was issued an Intoxication Assault charge.
