What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at State Hwy 195 and Shell Rd in Williamson County, TX on April 6th, 2022.Police say the incident happened around 3:32 p.m. Investigators are saying a commercial truck operated by a 44-year-old Manor man was headed southbound on Hwy 195 approaching the Shell Rd intersection. As it approached, the light turned from yellow to red, as allegedly witnessed on surveillance video taken from the truck, and the truck was unable to come to a complete stop. It traveled through the intersection and struck a Chevrolet Equinox operated by 69-year-old Alana Marie Anderson. Anderson was seriously injured while the Manor man was uninjured. Reports indicate charges for Disregarding a Red Traffic Signal and No Valid CDL were recommended and/or issued.
