What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at Business 259 in Kilgore, TX on April 19th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 7:20 a.m. Police believe a Chevrolet S 10 Blazer operated by 65-year-old Alvin Hartley was traveling northbound behind a Hyundai Sonata operated by 51-year-old Albert James Baker. As the Hyundai slowed for a traffic signal ahead, the Blazer collided with the Hyundai. Baker suffered serious injuries in the collision. Hartley was uninjured. Police recommended and/or issued a Failure to Control Speed charge.
