Area authorities are investigating a crash killed a driver at La Homa Rd in Hidalgo County, TX on December 19th, 2023. Officials say the incident happened around 8:20 p.m. Investigators are saying a GMC Acadia operated by 19-year-old Alberto Rivier Hernandez was southbound on FM 2894, nearing 4 Mile Rd. The vehicle is alleged, for unknown reasons, to have veered from the road at the intersection, crashing into a light pole. Police say Hernandez was seriously injured and taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead from his injuries. Additional information was not available.
