What Happened

Police have information on a collision that killed a pedestrian at Brittmoore Rd and Holly Hill Ln in Harris County, TX on November 1st, 2024. Officials say the incident happened around 7:48 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-150 was southbound on Brittmoore before allegedly failing to remain in its lane and striking a mailbox. From there, the vehicle crashed through a chain link fence, striking a pedestrian and fleeing the scene without stopping to render aid. The pedestrian, identified as 46-year-old Alex Chavez was fatally injured. Reports indicate the driver was lated located and arrested on a Failure to Stop and Render Aid charge.
