What Happened

Authorities have information on a crash that killed a driver at I-69C in Pharr, TX on May 23rd, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 9:10. p.m. Investigators say a Nissan Altima allegedly veered from its lane before colliding with a Buick Enclave parked behind a Volkswagen Jetta. Reports say the Jetta was disabled  and parked in a shoulder while the Buick arrived to help assist with the disabled vehicle. Reports say one person from one of the parked vehicles was struck in the impact, suffering suggested non-life-threatening injuries. An additional person from the vehicles had possible, unconfirmed injuries. Authorities say the driver of the Nissan, identified as 18-year-old Alexa Gonzalez, was fatally injured in the incident.
