What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed two people at US 377 in Stephenville, TX on September 3rd, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 2:56 p.m. According to investigators, a Toyota Highlander headed southwest on Granbury Rd is said to have run a posted stop sign before proceeding into the intersection with US 377. There, reports say the vehicle collided with a northeast bound Nissan Versa. The collision is said to have caused a tire to detach from one of the vehicles and became an object of debris struck by an approaching Hyundai. The occupants of the Hyundai were uninjured, reports say, while a 79-year-old passenger in the Toyota was fatally injured. Also fatally injured was 22-year-old Nissan operator, Alexander Del Toro. The Toyota operator was allegedly seriously injured. Additional information was not available.
