What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at Dyer St and Sanders Ave in El Paso, TX on June 25th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 6:30 p.m. A Chevrolet Impala operated by 40-year-old Alexander Segura reportedly veered from the road at an intersection and into a street lamp. It then crashed into a no parking sign, metal pole and fire hydrant. The vehicle dragged the hydrant along and continued into a traffic signal pole before coming to a stop. A passenger in the vehicle, a 46-year-old woman, suffered minor injuries. Segura suffered more serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital with his passenger.
