Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a person at I-35 in Gainesville, TX on June 28th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 10:39 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Camaro operated by 21-year-old Alicia Castaneda was headed southbound on I-35 when it allegedly failed to control its speed and collided with the rear of a commercial truck. The impact caused the vehicle to rotate into a nearby ditch, leaving Castaneda with serious injuries. Report indicate a Failure to Control Speed charge was recommended and/or issued against Castaneda.
