What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver at Northwest Hwy and Centerville Rd in Garland, TX on January 30th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 6:19 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling behind a motorcycle headed southbound on Northwest Highway. Officials say the truck collided with the rear of a motorcycle as it rounded a left turn onto Centerville Rd, also striking the operator of the motorcycle. The operator, identified as 59-year-old Allen Ronald Mead, suffered fatal injuries in the incident. The other driver, who was not publicly identified, was allegedly uninjured.
