What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed one person involved at US 81 in Wise County, TX on October 2nd, 2024. Police say the incident happend around 8:26 p.m. According to investigators, a Kia Soul headed southbound is alleged to have traveled into  an oncoming lane of travel for unclear reasons before colliding with a Toyota Tundra. The impact from the crash left the 55-year-old Tundra driver with non-life-threatening injuries, police say. The driver of the Kia, identified as 52-year-old Allison Beamon, was fatally injured. Police did not have additional information available.
