What Happened

Authorities in Rhome, TX, are investigating a fatal collision that occurred on October 2, 2024, at approximately 8:26 p.m. on U.S. Highway 81. A 2010 Kia Soul allegedly veered out of its lane and collided head-on with a 2011 Toyota Tundra traveling in the opposite direction. The  driver of the Kia, identified as 52-year-old Allison Beamon, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The 55-year-old driver of the Toyota, identified as Tim Wallace, suffered minor injuries. Contributing factors included failure to drive in a single lane and impairment.
