What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a motorcyclist at County Rd 279 in Leander, TX on August 14th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 3:50 p.m. A motorcycle operated by 68-year-old Allison Keegan was headed southbound on County Rd 279 when it back to fishtail as it approached an intersection. It then swerved into northbound traffic while attempting to to avoid crashing into the vehicle directly ahead of it. In the process, it then crashed head-on into a Nissan Rogue operated by a 38-year-old Austin woman. Keegan suffered serious injuries in the collision. The other driver and her passengers, two 8-year-0ld girls, were not injured.
