What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at US 69 in Cherokee County, TX on September 11th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 2:50 a.m. A Ford Expedition headed northbound on US 69 reportedly veered, for unknown reasons, into a southbound lane and crashed head-on into a Chevrolet Silverado. The driver of the Silverado, 22-year-old Allyson Goad, died at the scene. The other driver, 32-year-old Rafael Aguilar, was hospitalized with serious injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
