What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at FM 1405 in Chambers County, TX on July 2nd, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 6 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-250 headed southbound on FM 1405 is alleged to have traveled onto the incorrect side of the road prior to colliding head-on with a Toyota Camry. Authorities say both the 25-year-old driver of the Toyota and 24-year-old passenger, Alyssa Hufford, were seriously injured. The driver of the Ford, who was not publicly identified, was allegedly uninjured, reports say. Reports also say an Unsafe Speed charge/citation was recommended and/or issued against the operator of the Ford.
