Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at State Hwy 149 in Gregg County, TX on March 26th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 3:30 a.m. According to police, a Mazda 3 operated by 22-year-old Amanda Howard was headed southbound on Hwy 149 when it veered from its lane. While attempting to correct back onto the road, it went into a skid and struck a culvert before overturning several times and landing against a fence. Howard, who officers allege suspicion regarding possible intoxication, suffered fatal injuries.
