What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at Loop 410 in San Antonio, TX on January 22nd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 1 a.m. A Kia Sorento operated by 33-year-old Amanda Pacheco reportedly veered from the road after losing control and overturned. Investigators say they were told by the vehicle occupants that the vehicle swerved to avoid an object or animal in the roadway prior to losing control. Pacheco was seriously injured while her passenger, 37-year-old Anthony Pacheco, suffered more minor injuries. Police suspect alcohol may have played a factor in the crash.
