Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at FM 1343 in Medina County, TX on December 11th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 10:02 p.m. A Jeep Grand Cherokee operated by 35-year-old Amber Lee Shultz is accused of traveling at an unsafe speed before losing control and overturning into a ditch. Shutlz was ejected from the vehicle and suffered serious injuries. Responding officers say an open alcohol bottle was found at the scene and suspect it may have played a factor in the crash. Reports show charges for Failure to Control Speed, Open Container in Vehicle and Rider Not Secure by Safety Belt.
