Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at State Hwy 35 in Port Lavaca , TX on April 14th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 5:29 p.m. According to investigators, a Dodge pickup truck operated by a 33-year-old Port Lavaca man is alleged to have run a red light before colliding with a westbound Hyundai sedan. The driver of the Hyundai, operated by 72-year-old Amelie Rubio, suffered serious injuries, according to police. A passenger in the Hyundai, identified as 72-year-old Louis Rubio, suffered serious injuries. The Port Lavaca man was not injured, according to police, nor were any of his passengers.
