What Happened

Houston Police charged a driver in connection with a crash that killed a man at Sam Houston Parkway in Houston, TX on August 31st, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 3 p.m. They say an SUV operated by 43-year-old Ahmad Davis was involved in a crash that saw the vehicle veer from the road into a concrete pillar. Both Davis and his passenger, Andre Jackson, were hospitalized for treatment of injuries from the crash. Jackson died shortly after arrival. Investigators allege that Davis was intoxicated at the time of the crash and say he has been charged with Intoxication Manslaughter. Additional information was not available.
