What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two drivers at US 183 in Cedar Park, TX on February 6th, 2022. Police say it happened around 2:10 a.m. and involved an Acura RDX and Ford Explorer. According to investigators, The Acura, operated by 37-year-old Andrea Walls, was headed eastbound on Walton Way when it allegedly ran a red light at the intersection with North Bell Blvd and collided with a Ford Explorer police vehicle. The officer in the vehicle suffered what are believed to be minor injuries while Walls reportedly suffered more serious injuries that she later died from. Officials did not have additional information to share.
