What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at US 54 in El Paso, TX on November 1st, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 5:06 p.m. According to investigators, a Hyundai Sonata operated by a an unnamed 54-year-old man collided with a Toyota Tacoma operated by 63-year-old Andres Martinez. The impact caused the Toyota to overturned into a median as the Hyundai continued forward, hitting another vehicle before leaving the scene. Martinez suffered serious injuries in the collision. No injuries were reported for anyone in the third vehicle and officers recommend and/or issued a DWI charge against the driver of the Hyundai.
